Why visibility matters in winter
Shorter days, low sun, fog, rain and muddy lanes all make winter walking more challenging. We wanted a collection that felt genuinely useful - not reflective for the sake of it, not novelty-bright, but unmissable when light levels drop.
Neon pink and neon yellow BioThane® were the obvious choice. They cut through grey skies and shadowed paths, making your dog easier to spot whether you’re walking at dawn, dusk or anywhere in between.
The spark for BE SEEN! came from an unexpected place.
A winter coat from Scamp & Dude — beautifully made in olive and stone, with a flash of neon pink trim that stopped me in my tracks. It was practical, but also joyful. The neon wasn’t loud for the sake of it; it was there to be seen.
That balance stayed with me. It felt entirely possible to introduce bold colour in a way that still felt grounded, thoughtful and well made — exactly the approach we take with everything at Cotswold Hipster.
That idea became the foundation of BE SEEN! — a collection that uses colour with purpose…
