Photography enthusiasts who go everywhere with their hipster camera bag will be interested to find out what has been rated the best equipment for top-quality photos.
Earlier this week, the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) announced the winners of the 2020 TIPA World Awards, crediting products and services in 40 different categories.
Chairman of the organisation Thomas Gerwers said: “Given the extraordinary circumstances the world and our industry face today, we felt that we should continue with our efforts in recognising the best imaging products of 2020.”
He went on to say: “We believe that now more than ever, our support of the industry and the people who so hard, be it in production, distribution, or marketing, deserve credit and our thanks and appreciation for their efforts to continue to develop new and exciting products.”
At the end of last year, TIPA Technical Committee began to gather nominations for different categories. They asked editors from magazines, tested equipment themselves, and looked at emerging trends to make their conclusion.
The group’s General Assembly finally voted for the winners in an online procedure, due to travel restrictions around the world.
However, despite the limitations, TIPA has managed to come up with a winner’s list, which includes Canon EOS 90D for the Best DSLR Advanced Camera, Tamron SP 35mm F/1.4 Di USB for Best DSLR Prime Lens, Fujifilm instax mini link for Best Portable Photo Printer, Godox R1 for Best Mobile Accessory, and Manfrotto BeFree GT XPRO for Best Travel Tripod.
