Top Spots For A Last-Minute Easter Break

Although the schools have broken up for the Easter holidays, it’s not too late to book a quick getaway - and to find a bargain in the process.

Whether you’ve got kids or not, you’ll certainly have the long bank holiday weekend to look forward to, so why not make the most of it with a short break?

The Independent highlighted some of the best destinations for bargain Easter holidays, so pack your hipster messenger bag and get ready to head off on an adventure.

At the top of the list is Polish city Wroclaw, with the newspaper explaining that this city is “the perfect size for exploring on foot”. As well as two art museums, the city is also home to some stunning and unusual gardens, so make sure you’ve got your camera handy.

If stunning scenery is more your speed than a city break, it’s worth looking at hiking around the Picos de Europa National Park in Spain. Think beautiful mountains, calm lakes and green fields. There are plenty of striking landscape shots to capture here, not to mention the joy of simply being out and about in the spring sunshine.

It’s also not too late to hit the slopes. Val Thorens was named as a good choice by the newspaper, which pointed out that this French resort is the highest ski resort in the Alps, and guarantees snow until May.

You might not even want to go that far from home, in which case you could head to London. It’s easy to overlook what’s on our doorstep, but the British capital was recently named the world’s top holiday destination by TripAdvisor, so consider heading there as a tourist to discover the sights and sounds.
