It’s that time of year when Christmas gift shopping gets into full swing. But it can prove a challenge - there’s always at least one person who’s hard to buy for, right?
Pinterest has shared what’s hot on the platform at the moment, or at least what we’re searching for more than last year. One of the spikes has been for personalised gifts, with searches for this term up by 72 per cent.
Searches for ‘dad Christmas gift ideas’ are up by a whopping 644 per cent over last year. We think that one of our vintage backpacks from the UK could be the perfect option for your dad - especially if he’s got a stylish streak in him.
The desire for sustainable gifts is also on the rise. Searches for this term are up by 118 per cent, with Pinterest pointing out that this can mean supporting small companies as well as green products, or those made locally.
There’s also been a rise in searches for travel-kit gifts. We think you could tie this into the personalised gift trend by buying a stylish bag for the traveller in your life and filling it with some treats and useful items for their next adventure.
Back in September, we revealed that almost one-quarter of Brits had already started their Christmas shopping. If you weren’t among them, then make sure you don’t leave it too late. It might feel like it’s still a long time till 25 December, but those five weeks will fly by!
